THE WORK
Each sculpture is carved individually, allowing form to emerge through the material. Some works are left natural; Others are selectively painted to emphasise form or movement. Tool marks are retained where they serve the piece. This is slow sculpture, shape through observation and restraint.
ABOUT THE MAKER
Cameron is a sculptor working exclusively in wood, creating wildlife forms shaped through close observation and a disciplined approach to making.
Based in a rural studio in Scotland, his work develops slowly through the carving process, with attention to balance, proportion and surface. Each sculpture is resolved on its own terms, wether left natural or painted.
COMMISIONS
A limited number of commissions are accepted each year. Each is developed individually, with subject, scale, and finish agreed in advance.
